Default Weird thing but..

I was helping someone with Bloodstone Fen tonight... (not sure why my guildies are interested in now pointless missions) anyway I saw that when you pick up a bridge-seed and just drop it on the ground it makes a sort of sprout and goes back into the seed (we ve all seen that). Well I noticed that the mini pets near the seed also sprouted up too... I ve had trouble posting pics here due to file format but if someone wants to go to take a screenshot it was really weird.

While I can't say I've seen that happen (haven't been in any of those missions with a mini-pet, I can say one thing about the seeds, if you drop one near an enemy mob, it'll also grab them for a couple seconds, much like if they were knocked down (may even count as knocked down)

Minipets are a lot of trouble really, the skill "horns of the ox" doesn't work if the target is near a minipet..wtf .
First i thought the guy was probably just lagging, so it seemed he was far enough from an ally, but really wasn't.
then it happened again, and i went to test it on the dummies.

First with no pet.

Then with the pet close to the target.

Yes it does. Honest-to-Dwayna knockdowns with interrupts and all. Didn't try combining with something like Lacerate though.

Ouch, very ouch. Minipets should not interfere with anything and in any way at all. I hope there are not many more bugs like this and they get fixed soon.

Agreed, hopefully this will change shortly, mini pets are just to look cool, no more no less

Probably to finish off the missions for the Protector of Tyria title - I know my guild is and have seen quite a few other all guild teams doing bonus runs...

This is just a wild guess, but maybe to play the game instead of rusin?

why is the mission pointless ? some people actually like to beat the entire game, not just the run here run there skip half the game so i can say i beat in in half the time by playing half the game

i hate Maguuma, dont get me wrong.. but pointless is harsh and inaccurate

Most people are doing it for protector of tyria title no more no less! Not that the title means anything. Most people are getting run through the mission bonuses and I have been offered big money by guilds to lead them through fire island bonuses. The only title Im interested in is drunkard.
